THE winner of the business person of the year category was Jonathan Walsh from Birchwood Park.
And the 39-year-old is no stranger to success having won the title previously in 2005.
The Appleton resident has been managing director of the company, based in Chadwick House, for the last eight years.
He said: “It is with immense pride that I accepted this award.
“I was particularly proud that my father Paul was with me at the awards dinner.
“He is the man who inspired me from a very early age to do what I now do and gave me the understanding that having a passion for what you do is a prerequisite to doing it well.

“Invariably when an individual wins a business award there is an unseen team of people stood behind the recipient without whom there would be no story to tell.
“At Birchwood Park I have over 50 such people who day in day out have made the park what it now is.
“The vast majority share my personal pride in what we have achieved and my vision of what we can achieve in the future. For this reason I accept this prize on behalf of the whole Birchwood Park team.”
The category was sponsored by town centre solicitors Forshaws Davies Ridgway.
Highly commended in the category was Ruth Yates from Corks Out and Chris Hook from Nutrition Point Ltd
